Family Home Evening: Fasting

We started our lesson on fasting by discussing how when we sacrifice our physical needs, our spirits become more humble, teachable and open to the Lord's spirit.  It shows Heavenly Father that we are willing to be obedient and serve him, even when it's hard or uncomfortable.  We discussed how we should fast; focusing on a purpose and beginning and ending with prayer.  Our family was challenged to complete experience six from integrity of the Young Women Personal Progress.

We played Harry Potter Uno for our activity, which made me laugh since the child who was in charge of the activity asked everyone if they preferred to play "Would You Rather" or Phase 10.

Our treat was Peanut Butter Biscotti and hot cocoa.
